Thomas L. ‘Tom’ PerzeeThomas L “Tom” Perzee, 72, of Pierceton, passed away at 5:59 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021.

He was born on Feb. 17, 1949, in Watseka, Ill., to Melvin C. and Marjorie Korte Perzee.

He graduated in 1967 from Lowell High School and attended Winnipeg Manitoba College and Moody Bible College in Chicago. He was married on June 28, 1969, in Eureka, Ill., to Janet A. Yordy, who preceded him on Aug. 21, 2015. He moved to the North Webster/Pierceton area in 1987 from South Bend, was the camp director for Camp Good News near North Webster and the owner/operators of Mel’s Pony Rides and Petting Zoo in Pierceton for many years.

He formerly attended the Pleasant View Bible Church in Warsaw.

He is survived by two brothers: John (Janet) Perzee, of Cedar Lake; and Raymond (Mary Ann) Perzee, of Herford, Ariz.; sister, Sandra Perzee, of Joliet, Ill.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and three infant sons: James, Timothy and Paul Perzee; sister, Marilyn Farmer; and brother, Melvin Perzee.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 26 at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 26 in the funeral home with John Perzee officiating. Burial will be in the Lowell Memorial Cemetery in Lowell.
