ELKHART – Thomas L. McKinstry, 75, Syracuse, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Jan. 25, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born Jan. 17, 1939, in Goshen, to Guy and Opal LaMunyon McKinstry. On March 17, 1973, in Syracuse, he married Janet L. Preston, who passed away in 1997. He worked for 26 years at Syracuse Rubber Products in Syracuse. He was an Army veteran and a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Jo McKinstry; a half brother, Mike Russell; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the North Webster United Methodist Church, 7822 E. Epworth Forest Road, North Webster. Calling is from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
