TIPTON - Thomas E. Mundell, 74, Silver Lake, and formerly of Tipton, died at 4:50 p.m. Jan. 1, 2011, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Sept. 28, 1936, in Tipton, to Henry J. and Margaret J. Phifer Mundell. On June 7, 1959, he married Beth Achenbach, who survives.
He retired from General Motors, Kokomo. He was a member of U.A.W. 292, American Trapshooter Association and the Indiana Trapshooters Hall of Fame.
Also surviving are two daughters, Christina (and spouse Darrell) Elston and Stacie (and spouse Jim) Shaffer, all of Tipton; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with the Rev. Melissa Grishaw officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
