The third suspect in a home burglary last week was apprehended Sunday morning. According to court documents, Maximo Pedro Ybarra, 32, of 1010 S. Haug St., Syracuse, and one other suspect, who was arrested last week, broke down the door and entered the victims’ apartment as they sat on the sofa. Ybarra allegedly struck the victim on the head with a shotgun, causing injury to the victim’s nose. A third suspect waited in a van outside as Ybarra and his accomplice carried out two televisions, a purse and two iPhones. Police later apprehended the two suspects, but Ybarra fled on foot. Ybarra was apprehended just after 10 a.m. Sunday and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on a preliminary charge of burglary – breaking and entering resulting in bodily injury to the victim, and held on a $100,000 bond.
