Thelma Jean Wolfe, 83, passed away at 8:25 p.m. Dec. 27, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born Dec. 6. 1931, in Rensselaer, to Abe and Vina Vanderpool Shepherd. On Oct. 25, 1950, in Silver Lake, she married Wallace Eugene Wolfe, who preceded her in death Oct. 23, 1985. She lived most of her life in the Warsaw area and was a homemaker. She is a former member of Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She loved being with grandchildren and was an avid Notre Dame fan. Surviving are two daughters, Candy (and spouse Toney) Owsley, Pierceton, and Deborah (and spouse Jeff) Charleston, Daleville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Claude (and spouse Martha) Shepherd, Warsaw. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Wayne Shepherd, who died Nov. 4, 1990; Alex Shepherd; Clyde Shepherd, who died Nov. 2, 1989 and Charles Shepherd; and a sister, Myrtle Younce. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Mark Fishburn, First Baptist Church, Pierceton, officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
