Thelma Elizabeth Goering, 98, Warsaw, passed away at 2:30 a.m.  March 31, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Sept. 13, 1917, in Kosciusko County, to Edward and Leah Marie Laughlin Griesinger. On June 22, 1946, she married Francis “Chub” L. Goering, who preceded her in death in 1990.
She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw, for over 60 years.  She worked for over 23 years as a proofreader at LM Berry & Co., Warsaw. She was the past president of the Modern Home Ec Club, Warsaw, and sang with the Melloaires.
She will be lovingly remembered by a daughter,   Luann Goering, Warsaw; a brother, Charles Griesinger, Fort Wayne; two nephews: Roger (and spouse Cheryl) Hand, Warsaw, and Lynn (and spouse Kit) Taylor, Albuquerque, N.M.; three nieces: Betty (and spouse Bill) Kahlenbeck, Fort Wayne; Karen (and spouse Mike) Roorbach, Marion; Donna (and spouse Loren) Maierle, Albion; and a niece and nephew in Wisconsin. She also was preceded in death by three sisters and one niece.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
