WINONA LAKE – People will be able to appreciate and purchase art during this weekend’s Village Art Fair.

The art fair will be at The Village at Winona from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The fair, which has been put on for 23 years, will have about 70 vendors from across the country, said Nick Hauk, managing director of The Village at Winona. Artists will be selling paintings, sculptures, jewelry and more.

Kids’ activities will be provided by the Lakeland Art Association from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and by Spoonful of Imagination from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.

There will be food vendors and live music for people to enjoy. The schedule for the live music is: Saturday, 10-11:15 a.m., Scott Workman; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wally Brath Jazz Trio; 1-3 p.m., Winona Acoustic Society; and 3-5 p.m., Ivory Moss; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Joe Justice; and 2-4 p.m., Marc Vosler.

Hauk said The Village used to be all art studios so the fair stemmed from that.

He said The Village wants people to purchase art and be part of the art community during the weekend’s art fair. The Village also wants to put on a good art fair.

For those interested in being part of next year’s art fair, there is an application process the artists go through, he said, and a jury decides who participates in the fair. Applications can be found at https://www.zapplication.org/event-info.php?ID=10533.
