Mortgage foreclosures are skyrocketing all over North America. The governor of New York involved himself in prostitution. What's the connection?
Here's the rest of the story. Spitzer was known as the sheriff of Wall Street because he was cleaning up the illegal activity on wall street. What you don't know was that he was developing a major lawsuit to be filed against the Bush administration, along with the criminal banks that have been swindling the citizens across the country. He had the backing of all the governors and state attorney generals around the country.
On the eve of his filing that earth-shaking lawsuit, his extra-marital activities were exposed. Now as far as I am concerned, that's between him and his wife, not an international story. But on nearly the same day a meeting was taking place between the Federal Reserve chief Bernanke and several of the biggest mortgage bandit bank heads. At this meeting, Fed Chief Bernanke agreed to bail out these mortgage brokers $200 billion to replace most of their losses. This was an unprecedented action that had never been done before. Mind you, none of this $200 billion is to go to bailing out individual homeowners.
Spitzer spent $4000 of his own money - unwisely, it's true - but Bernanke spent $200 billion of your money. Have you read anything about this in the press? Both Democrats and Republicans are busy dogpiling Spitzer, but are saying nothing about the pro-homeowner lawsuit or the criminal pay off of the major criminal lending institutions. How does that make you feel tax slave?
