WINONA LAKE – The Purduettes will be the next performers of the 2014-15 Lakeland Community Concert Association concert season. “Celebrating music of all genres with a vast repertoire including pop, classical, contemporary, country, swing, patriotic, Broadway, gospel and jazz, this multi-talented troupe of women represents the brightest and best from a variety of majors and areas of study,” according to information provided by the LCCA. The group performs Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rodeheaver Auditorium, Winona Lake. Individual concert tickets are $20 at the door. Subscriptions for all of the shows in the 2014-15 season are $45, a savings of $55. Children 18 years old and younger may attend free when accompanied by an adult member. A 10-percent discount is available for groups of 20 or more individuals. All concerts will be at Rodeheaver Auditorium except for the Dec. 14 Fort Wayne Philharmonic Holiday Pops Concert at 2 p.m. at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center. The last concert of the season will be Cornet Chop Suey March 27 at 7:30 p.m. The jazz band “has enjoyed a meteoric rise in popularity since its arrival on the jazz scene in 2001. Best known for a wide variety of styles, Cornet Chop Suey applies its own exciting style to traditional jazz, swing, blues and ‘big production’ numbers. Every performance by Cornet Chop Suey is a high-energy presentation and is always a memorable experience for the audience,” according to the information.
