SYRACUSE – The Steel Dynamics Foundation Patriotic Pops concert, performed by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, returns to Syracuse for Independence Day weekend.
This special concert will take place July 2 at 7:30 p.m. at The Oakwood Inn in Syracuse and will be followed by The Lake Wawasee Fireworks.
The Fort Wayne Philharmonic brings this Syracuse tradition back to the Oakwood Inn. Donations will be accepted during the concert to help underwrite expenses. Contact The Phil for concert sponsorship opportunities.
The Patriotic Pops concert, conducted by the Philharmonic’s Associate Conductor Bradley Thachuk, will feature a series of patriotic songs, including “Stars And Stripes Forever”, “The Liberty Bell March”, “The Armed Forces Salute” and, of course, “The Star Spangled Banner” along with many more popular tunes and family favorites to celebrate the birth of the nation.Gather family and friends, a blanket and some lawn chairs, or even boat up on Lake Wawasee to enjoy music performed by the area’s premiere symphony orchestra, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. In the event of rain, audiences will still be able to enjoy this special concert in the comfort of the Wawasee High School Auditorium.
