FORT WAYNE – Symphonic Rock once again comes to The Embassy Theatre when The Fort Wayne Philharmonic’s Sweetwater Pops Series presents “The Music of The Police and Sting” Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. at The Embassy Theatre. “The Music of The Police and Sting” will be an evening of Police and Sting songs as you know them, backed by the entire Phil Orchestra. Vocalist Neil Donell and guests will perform along with The Phil hits such as “Every Breath you Take”, “Roxanne”, “Fields of Gold”, “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic”, “Message in a Bottle” and more from The Police and front man Sting’s successful solo career. “The Music of The Police and Sting” will mark the Pops debut for The Phil’s newly appointed associate conductor, Sameer Patel. Patel served as the Zander Fellow at the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra last season and has conducted orchestras throughout North America, South America and Europe. Audiences who loved The Phil’s nearly sold-out performances of ABBAmania, The Music of Led Zeppelin, The Music of Pink Floyd and The Music of Queen, will enjoy its newest symphonic rock presentation, complete with band and vocals. The Phil has once again engaged Jeans ’N Classics to present “The Music of The Police and Sting”. Jeans ’N Classics delivers a completely professional symphonic rock experience to orchestras throughout North America. They honor the original performers while keeping the concert experience exciting and entertaining. “The Music of The Police and Sting” is a newer show for them, and this performance with The Phil marks the American debut of this concert.
