Stalin said that one death is a tragedy. A million deaths are a statistic.
When there are school shootings, liberals cry for more gun control laws. Some demand gun confiscation. Why aren't they demanding gun confiscation in Chicago or where gangs are prevalent? Don't black lives matter to them? When Obama was president, more people were killed in Chicago and by gang members and some illegal aliens than died in our military in combat in the Middle East.
Never did Obama demand the police or national guard to confiscate guns from gang members and known criminals who didn't deserve to have guns in the first place. Maybe the deaths of innocents women and children didn't matter to him as much as it should have.
Violent video games have made people numb to depictions of people being killed. They're so popular that it is no wonder mass shootings aren't as repulsive. Horror films show bodies that look more ghastly than what are seen in real life.
A generation ago there were few mass shootings. One of the reasons was Christian moral standards that were honored even in schools. The ACLU would consider it a criminal act to hire Christian ministers in schools to counsel with students to teach them to honor Christ. Do liberals who support the extermination of the unborn think the teachings of Christ and the Bible have no place in schools and it would be better if kids killed other kids instead?
Liberals defend the right of killers to live instead of being executed. Those killers imposed the death penalty on their victims. Since they supported the death penalty against others, why shouldn't it be imposed upon them?
Liberals blame the NRA and politicians supported by the NRA for much of the gun violence. As far as I know, none of the mass shooters and gang members are members of the NRA, which was established to make people responsible gun owners and to defend the Second Amendment. Liberals would abolish the NRA and Second Amendment. But there would still be gun violence. Christ and not laws will change people's hearts and minds.
But liberals have opposed Christ for so long that what is known to work will always be opposed by them. We can count on the carnage to continue thanks to liberals and those who blame guns instead of dark-hearted killers for the deaths.
