Posted
Swim into the summer by seeing Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts’ production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.”
Kicking off the professional theatre’s 60th summer season, Ariel and her friends Flounder and Sebastian will sing and dance across the stage. This musical adaptation includes Disney’s Academy Award-winning score with songs such as “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”
Ariel dreams of a life on land, but her father forbids her from any contact with the human world – those horrid “Fish Eaters!” The young heroine decides to go against her father’s wishes and meets with the evil Ursula, according to a synopsis provided by the Wagon Wheel.
There, Ariel strikes up a deal – to give up her beautiful voice for a life on land. Little does Ariel know that Ursula is plotting to destroy her, King Triton and Ariel’s chance at true love.
Tickets are on sale right now at Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts or can be purchased online at wagonwheelcenter.org
