First-graders at Pierceton Elementary School enjoyed fall fun at the Ligonier Fashion Farm Oct. 22. The crisp fall morning began with a pumpkin doughnut and fresh apple cider. Then, during their hayride through the vast pumpkin patch, the students saw how pumpkins grow. They learned about the varieties of gourds and pumpkins available, explored the Pumpkin Fantasy Land, and used their problem-solving skills to master the corn and straw mazes. The day ended with each student selecting a pumpkin to bring home.
