The Abortion Holocaust

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:
In response to the “Factual Information” letter of 3/21, written by Kaci Scheve, here is another letter of ignorance.
Abortion is the hidden holocaust. It is horrific that America’s women revert to the crudest and most archaic of all solutions to solve the problem of an unwanted child – death. These children are killed simply for the sake of convenience.
The lives of the children of America are being prematurely snuffed out each year and the value of “God-given life” has been cheapened. Respect for the human life has declined. It’s insane. We must not be silent when innocent lives are taken through abortion. Anything less is distorted language as in the letter of 3/21.
Some men and women seem to want to live without morals or restraints, and when the consequence is a baby, sadly some choose to murder it.
Joe Hankins once wrote, “Sin is a deep-seated, loathsome disease that is eating the heart out of humanity and cursing, blighting, damning, wrecking and reviving those who tamper with it.” Abortion is sin, all because of the pursuit of pleasure.
The sanctity of human life is a priority issue. The Bible speaks strongly to our responsibility toward the spilling of innocent blood. Read Proverbs 24:11 and 12. Don’t forget the fact that life begins at conception for the human baby. Thank God we are not using a baby in a biology classroom like we did frogs in ninth grade. Last time I looked, frogs are not human and that’s a fact. Americans have given murder a new name, it’s called abortion.
Remember, folks, more than 97 percent of all abortions occur simply for convenience. It has become the nation’s means of birth control. Babies bodies have been sold by the bag. They have been used is some cosmetics and are used for experimentation. Their little bodies bring big money.
There are other options to abortion. Churches can help by operating or contributing to pregnancy crisis centers, to counsel and assist pregnant women. The church should be the first place a pregnant woman comes for help. They (church) should assist with open homes during and after birth, until the girl is able to get on her feet. These women need counseling, emotional and psychological. They need to know there is a large body of people standing by, ready to provide life-saving alternatives.
Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see. Children are America’s future. America needs to chart a new course, a nation reborn with values and morals.
Read the book “I was aborted and lived.” Other publications: James Tunstead Burtchaell, “Rachel Weeping,” establishes beyond a doubt that human life begins at conception; Jean Garton, “Who Broke The Baby?” explores the horror of abortion, Ronald Reagan, “Abortion and the Conscience of the Nation,” an excellent look at abortion on the entire moral fabric of society.
The above is a smattering of information. And don’t forget our Holy Bible, for all mankind.
