MENTONE – Terry Joseph “Joe” Walters, 68, Mentone, died at 4:02 p.m. May 20, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, after being in failing health for many years. He was born May 2, 1946, in Madison County, to William and Anna Dickey Walters. On Oct. 19, 1979, in Warsaw, he married Rebecca Pruett Hurley, who survives in Mentone. He had worked for Larry Evans and Mark Metzger Auctions for more than 20 years. He graduated from Daleville High School, and enjoyed fishing and all the people while working at the auctions. Also surviving are a daughter, Carrie Yoder, Daleville; a son, David Hurley, Daleville; a brother, Larry Walters, Daleville; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private family service will be held. Burial is in Palestine Cemetery. King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, is in charge of arrangements. ***** Memorials to donor’s choice.
