Tent Revival This Weekend in Warsaw

Posted
A tent revival is Sunday through Sept. 23 in Warsaw.

The revival, titled “The Awakening”, will be at 6:30 p.m. each night on Ind. 15 North (near Sorg Nissan) in Warsaw.

There will be a night of worship, prayer and a service each night until approximately 9 p.m.

This is the second year for the revival that was  organized last year by Kosciusko County Silent No More and Warsaw Ministerial Association.

This year’s revival is being organized by Full Life Crusade, Winona Lake, and Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association.

There is seating under the tent for 1,200 people.

Singing groups, choirs and bands from many area churches are scheduled to perform.

A free-will offering will be taken each night.

South African performing arts group Buyela will perform during Sunday from 7:40 to 8:05 p.m.

People are coming from as far as Canada, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Kentucky to participate in the revival, according to Wes Smith, Full Life Crusade president.

Mike Ragan, event chair, said he hopes people who attend the revival come away with a closer relationship with the Lord.

“For someone who is hurting or doesn’t have joy in their life, I hope they will come away with comfort,” Ragan said.

Pastor John Lowe, New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, will speak Sunday at 6:30 p.m. about Christian convictions.

“Everyone is welcome, and this is an outreach to stir up and awaken the people to the message of Christ, and if you don’t know Christ it is a great place to find the Lord,” Lowe said.

Lowe is an international speaker. He recently returned from Brisbane, Australia, after ministering there to clergy in that area. His wife, Debbie, ministers with him at New Life Church.

Walid Shoebat, a former Muslim terrorist who once idolized Adolf Hitler, and now the best-selling author of “God’s War on Terror” relating Islam to Biblical end-time prophecy, will speak Monday.

Dr. Rick Scarborough, founder of “Vision America” an organization to inform and mobilize pastors and their congregations to become pro-active in restoring Judeo-Christian values in America, will speak Sept. 20.

Shoebat and Scarborough have appeared on national television programs.

On Sept. 21, Wendell Martin, Go Forth Ministry, will speak.

A speaker for Sept. 22 has not yet been confirmed.

On Sept. 23, Smith will speak.

Smith left his vocation as a public school teacher in 1964 because of a deep call of God on his life.

He and his Haitian wife, Primrose, launched into a life of faith that has taken them all over the world.

He was arrested and detained twice. He has five daughters who have all served the Lord in the mission field. Smith has authored five books, produced several films, maintains a website and blog, and writes a monthly newsletter.
