Pairings for the 40th annual girls tennis team state tournament were announced Monday afternoon. The Warsaw Lady Tigers will look to win their 14th-straight sectional crown at home, taking on Tippecanoe Valley Thursday, with the victor moving on to Friday’s 4:30 p.m. championship match. The Warsaw sectional begins Wednesday with Columbia City and Wawasee meeting up at 4:30 p.m., with the winner moving on to face Whitko, Thursday. At Peru, the Manchester Lady Squires earned a first-round bye and will take on the winner of Wednesday’s match between Southwood and Peru, Thursday at 5 p.m. The Triton Lady Trojans will face fellow Northern State Conference foe John Glenn in semifinal action Thursday at Bremen, with the winner moving on to Friday’s 4:30 p.m. championship match.
