Telephone Book Recycling Days Scheduled

Posted

From June 16 to June 30 Kosciusko County residents can drop off their outdated telephone directories to be recycled.

The event was organized by Sprint and the Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District.

"This recycling campaign is part of a national commitment by Sprint to recycle outdated directories and other reusable materials in many of its operating areas," said Roger Fisher, Sprint public affairs manager. "Each year more than 3,000 tons of directories are recycled in similar programs throughout Sprint's local telephone operations."

The containers for telephone books will be available 24 hours per day. However, only phone books should be left in them.

Recycling containers will be at:

• Marsh Supermarket parking lot - South Buffalo Street, Warsaw.

• Milford - On the curve, just south of town on Ind 15.

• Syracuse - Behind England's Diner, south side of Syracuse Rubber.

• Leesburg - South of Stacy's Restaurant on Ind 15.

• North Webster - Augsburger's parking lot.

• Pierceton - Pierceton Market, Ind 13.

Phone books can also be recycled on Paper Recycling Day, July 11, from 8 a.m. to noon at Lewis Salvage in Warsaw.
