BURKET - Two teens were injured Sunday when the mo-ped they were riding was struck by a car at the intersection of CRs 450W and 525S, near Burket.
Seth D. Hammon, 14, of West CR 525S, Claypool, suffered facial bleeding and a passenger, Catie L. Conley, 14, of Beaver Dam Road, Claypool, suffered a broken leg in the 11:40 a.m. accident.
Both were admitted to KCH and were listed in stable condition this morning.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, a car driven by Viola F. Lisdat, 69, South CR 450W, Warsaw, was southbound on CR 450W when Hammon reportedly ran the stop sign at the intersection. She was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. Hammon told police he couldn't remember what happened.
