SYRACUSE - Charges of possession of marijuana were filed against a Wawasee High School freshman after he was allegedly caught with contraband in the school.
A school official notified the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department after allegedly finding marijuana wrapped in plastic inside a cigarette box possessed by George A. Bess, 15, of 13606 N. Hillside Drive, Syracuse.
The marijuana was reportedly found after the school official received information alleging Bess was in possession of it.
After a juvenile apprehension form was completed, Bess was released to his mother's custody.
