Teddy Wayne Elliott, 52, of Warsaw, died at 1:45 a.m. May 21, 2012, in his residence.
He was born Aug. 31, 1959, in McDowell, Ky., to James Orval and Alvie Ousley Elliott. On Dec. 24, 1982, in Winona Lake, he married Carol Lynn Ehmcke, who survives.
Currently of Warsaw, he lived most of his life in Kosciusko County. He was a maintenance worker for Brunk Corp, Goshen. He was a member of the Francis Slocum Trail Riders and enjoyed horseback riding, fishing and hunting. He loved the outdoors, was a hard worker and very honest, had a heart as big as Texas and loved his family – especially his grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sons, Johnie Ray (and spouse Shannon) Dove, Dover, Del., and Richard Lloyd Elliott, Warsaw; three daughters: Karen Ann Dove, Springhill, Fla.; Cheryl Kay (and spouse Ronald) Redden, Fort Wayne; and Christina Marie (and spouse John) Brown, Columbia City; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Lara (and spouse Joe) Miller, Warsaw; and two brothers, William (and spouse Nancy) Bentley, Warsaw, and George Elliott, Mentone. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Erik Ohman of Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in his memory.
