NAPPANEE – Teddy “Ted” J. Martindale, 65, of 252 N. Locke St., Nappanee, died Sept. 3, 2011, in his residence, after a two-year illness.
He was born May 31, 1946, in Elkhart County, to Martin H. and Wilma Geiger Martindale. On Aug. 16, 1969, he married Diana Fletcher, who survives.
He was a graduate of Nappanee High School and went to barber school in Indianapolis. He had worked at Fabwell and Supersweet (ADM), Nappanee. He attended First Brethren Church, Nappanee. He a volunteer for special needs classes in WaNee area schools.
Also surviving are two daughters, Amy Martindale and Myra (and spouse Robert) Meredith, all of Nappanee; a son, Jerrad (and spouse Vera) Martindale, Nappanee; five grandchildren; and two brothers, William C. (and spouse Mabel) Martindale, Gladwin, Mich., and Larry J. (and spouse Patricia) Martindale, Syracuse. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with Pastor Tom Schiefer officiating. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
