NORTH MANCHESTER – Ted J. Lambert, 79, passed away at 1:38 p.m. June 14, 2015, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Sept. 4, 1935, in North Manchester, to William B. and Hazel Glaze Lambert. On April 6, 1957, he married M. Louise Monce, who preceded him in death Jan. 4, 2001. He married Rebecca K. Wright June 14, 2003, who survives.
He graduated from Central High School in 1953. He served in the US Army from 1954-1956 in Germany. He also retired from GTE Wabash, in 1998. He was a bus driver for Manchester Community School system for 10 years retiring in 2012. He enjoyed telling stories, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was a good Christian man and a member of Olive Branch Church of God, Roann.
Also surviving are three sons: Steven M. Lambert, Plainsfield, Jay (and spouse Robyn) Lambert, Claypool and Greg A. Wright, Indianapolis; two daughters, Robin S. Lambert, Warsaw, and Mindy S. Benton Flora, North Manchester; two brothers, Wayne (and spouse Phyllis) Lambert, Fort Wayne, and Raymond (and spouse Margaret) Lambert, Syracuse; one sister, Lenora Norris, Larwill; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a daughter, 10 brothers and seven sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Olive Branch Church of God, 4581 East CR 1200N, Roann, IN, 46974, with Pastor Jeff Sumner officiating. Burial is at Enterprise Cemetery, Roann.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114 West, North Manchester, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
