Students in three classrooms at Pierceton Elementary School are involved in a technology pilot project. Each teacher involved wrote a proposal sharing what technology equipment he or she would like to have in her classroom and her goals for improving student achievement using that equipment. Heather Fox, first-grade teacher, would like to see her students improve their knowledge base of what technology can be use for. She would also like to allow them another modality to use in mastering the curriculum and standards. In this picture, Bailey Bumgardner is using the document camera to explain his thinking. The document camera is connected to a mounted LCD projector so it can be quickly and easily used to share information. The LCD camera also can be connected to the computer to share learning materials, educational website, etc.
