The Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps made a stop in Warsaw recently. The corps, while en route from a competition in Kalamazoo, Mich., to another in Fairfield, Ohio, stopped at Warsaw Community High School to rest and practice July 11. WCHS band students and other visitors were treated to the sounds of The Teal Sound working to perfect their program, which featured the music of progressive rock bands 'Coheed and Cambria' and 'Dream Theater'. Like all Drum and Bugle Corps, the ensemble is an all-volunteer marching ensemble composed of high school and college-aged students. Members are selected by auditions. Drum Corps tour the country, competing throughout the summer at events sanctioned by Drum Corps International, culminating in DCI World Championships in Indianapolis Aug. 10-14.
