This year, Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Warsaw’s Taste of Kosciusko during Third Friday coincided with Warsaw Community High School’s homecoming parade.
Nora Christiansen, events coordinator for the Chamber and MSW, said the Taste of Kosciusko has been one of the events during Third Friday for a number of years and “it’s personally one of our personal favorite events because who doesn’t love to get to snack their way around the whole county in one place?” With Taste of Kosciusko, the Chamber sells ticket for $2 a piece or 12 for $20 and people are able to use those tickets at any of the 17 vendors at Friday’s event.
The Chamber invites vendors from all over the county. Paddock Springs, Rocksteady Pizza Parlor, Beef-a-Roo and people from farmer’s markets were among the vendors Friday.
“It’s great because it gives people a chance to try something new and it’s not as scary then to go into a business and try it again because they already know what they have to offer,” she said.
It was coincidence Taste of Kosciusko lined up with when the homecoming parade was, but Christiansen said Taste of Kosciusko was a great chance for people to come hang out after the parade and before the football game and try some new food. “And we’re hoping to get a great turnout this year,” she said.
