Task Force Arrests Bring Two Sentences

Posted

Two people arrested by the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force in May 2004 have been sentenced in Elkhart County.

Anthony C. Martin, 35, of Elkhart, and Sandra S. Kellogg, 23, of Claypool, were arrested by the drug task force May 6, 2004, in Elkhart County for dealing crack cocaine. On that date, the pair delivered a large amount of crack to an informant in Elkhart County, just north of the Kosciusko County line.

Kellogg agreed to a plea bargain in Elkhart County in January, and her guilty plea netted 30 years in prison for dealing cocaine.

During a February jury trial in Elkhart, Martin was found guilty of dealing cocaine. Thursday morning, Martin was sentenced to 41 years in prison for his role in the drug trade.

For several months before their arrests, Martin and Kellogg were dealing crack cocaine in Kosciusko County. At the time of their arrests, both were considered major suppliers of crack cocaine in Kosciusko County.

After the investigation, Martin and Kellogg were charged with dealing cocaine more than three grams, a Class A felony.

The Elkhart County Drug Task Force and the Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office assisted the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force in this investigation.
