Editor, Times-Union: Talking heads talk about the economy – by way of the Internet, newspaper, magazines and TV. But do they really tell us the truth. I’m not interested in the world economy (China or Europe). I’m not worried about our country’s economy or the state of Indiana. I’m very interested where I live Kosciusko County and Warsaw. For example, will the bird flu have any effect on Creighton Brothers, Maple Leaf Farms or Kralis Brothers? Will Zimmer Biomet and DePuy lay off people that I know? I look at the back pages of the Times-Union and read about the sheriff sales. I worried about people living pay check to pay check, just getting by. When I go shopping, I ask the cashier if they still take cash because everybody else pays with credit or debit cards or check. When I get change back, I check the dates of the coins. Sometimes, I think someone is raiding the piggy bank (old coins). Instead of listening to a talking head, we should listen to the people that have two jobs that pays minimum wage without benefits. Ask them about their economy. Paul Fribley Warsaw
