A beautiful spring day, the playground, sidewalk chalk, a first-grade class – all combined to make a fun lesson for students in Jami PeGan’s first-grade classroom at Pierceton Elementary School. Students took their learning outside and practiced writing word families on the blacktop. Pictured is first-grader Grace Ehrman surrounded by her work.
