"I expect around 125 contestants," said Bucher.

Skiers will come from all over Indiana, including Mt. Vernon, Indianapolis and McCordsville to name a few. Last year, Timberlake, near Mt. Vernon, hosted the state tournament.

Winners at the state competition will then compete at the Midwest Regionals at Wilmington, Ill., the following week and then nationals will be held in Houston, Texas.

Both days' events are free to the public and Bucher said he encourages everyone to come out and watch.

To get to Cindonway Shores, take Ind. 15 north of Warsaw 9 miles. Turn East on CR 900N to CR 300E then go north one-fourth mile. Cindonway Shores is on the left.

The state competition is sponsored by the Indiana Water Ski Association. For more information on the organization, visit online at www.IndianaWaterSki.org
