SYRACUSE – The Syracuse man who suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash Wednesday died over the weekend. According to a press release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, the department was notified Sunday morning by the Allen County Coroner’s Office that Daniel List, 56, Syracuse, had died Saturday as a result of head injuries that he had sustained Wednesday in Kosciusko County. List had been observed traveling southbound on Ind. 13 near the Southshore Golf Course when his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle struck a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck stopped for other vehicular traffic. The truck was drive by Michael Gunderson, 26, Milford. Gunderson and his passenger were not injured during the crash. List did not have any passengers on his motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the original press release from the KCSD. The crash was witnessed by a Syracuse/Turkey Creek Township EMS/ambulance that immediately administered aid. List was airlifted from the scene and taken to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, in critical condition. The Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team stated that the crash is still currently under investigation.
