Syracuse Man Critical after Tree Impact

NORTH WEBSTER – A Syracuse man is in critical condition following an early morning crash today near North Webster in Kosciusko County.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. deputies and emergency personnel responded to a 2:01 a.m. 911 call of a vehicle crash on Syracuse/Webster Road near CR 800N. Officers arrived and found a black 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada that had impacted a tree.

The driver, Michael G. Bradley, 49, of 8290 N. Syracuse/Webster Road, Syracuse, was extricated and transported to Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, in critical condition.

Jill Bradley, wife of the injured driver, was following behind her husband but at a distance when he drove off the right side of the roadway for an unknown reason and struck the tree.

Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team investigators were called to the scene and determined that Bradley was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. FACT team members stated that the crash is still under investigation pending legal blood alcohol test results as required by state law.

The Kosciusko County FACT team was assisted at the scene by the North Webster EMS and fire department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
