SYRACUSE – Syracuse Public Library announced a free laser show to celebrate reading through the summer is scheduled for May 8.
Young people that read entertaining books during the summer explore thoughts and ideas while developing a relationship with the act of reading, according to a provided press release.
Joining together to promote reading during the summer are the Wawasee, Milford, Syracuse and North Webster schools, public libraries, school libraries and PTOs.
The event is at 7 p.m. May 8 at the Wawasee Middle School gym.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m. for first-come seating for adults, families and young adults of the Wawasee School district.
The laser show is presented by the West Lafayette company, Lasershows 101, that present shows that fill the gym with colors moving with the music. Their show contains all the elements of a full laser show with full-color animations as well as stunning beams effects that slice the air over the audience, the release states.
