SYRACUSE – Four Syracuse residents were arrested Thursday on drug possession-related charges.
John Brown Christian, 70; Phillip Paul Christian, 44; Austin Leasure, 22; and Leslie Patrick, 40; all of 4484 E. CR 1300N, were initially charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Narcotics Enforcement Team 43.
Surveillance was set up for the Syracuse residence based on tips, where undercover detectives were able to make purchases of methamphetamine, the release said.
Traffic stops were made on vehicles connected to the residence, bolstering probable cause of consistent dealing happening there, according to the release. That allowed investigators to file for a search warrant that was granted and executed Thursday with the assistance of the Kosciusko County SWAT Team.
The investigation is continuing on this case, which may result in additional charges, with the possibility of adding more suspects, according to the release.
NET43 investigators were assisted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office; Warsaw, Syracuse, Milford, North Webster and Pierceton police departments; Indiana State Police; the Syracuse Fire Department; and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
