SYRACUSE – The 27th Cruise-In car show and festival in downtown Syracuse is Friday and Saturday. Events Friday include a concert by Big Daddy Dupree And The Broke And Hungry Blues Band from 6 to 8 p.m., as well as food vendors, family and youth activities and a business expo. A cruise around the lake will start on Main Street at 3:15 p.m. Food vendors include ice cream and root beer from Grace Lutheran Church, fajitas from Church of God, Marching Tacos from the Wawasee marching band and a few mobile food vendors. Lakeland Youth Center will offer face painting, the Syracuse Lions will have a dunk tank and the town parks department will have a craft booth. Many downtown businesses will offer specials during the Cruise-In Friday evening. The car show Saturday in Lakeside Park is sponsored by the Kiwanis. Registration is open from 8 to 11:30 a.m., and awards will be given starting at 2:30 p.m. Registration for the more than 30 judged classes is $15 and non-judged registration is $8. There also will be a 50-50 drawing, silent auction and door prizes.
