SHIPSHEWANA - A Syracuse husband and wife were injured at 4 p.m. Saturday when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a van.
Daniel J. and Stacy L. List, both of 1502 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, were injured. As of this morning, Daniel was listed in fair condition and Stacy was in critical condition.
According to LaGrange County police, Daniel suffered chest and head injuries while Stacy suffered injuries to her entire body. They both were airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
According to police, Lyle Bontrager, 51, Shipshewana, was traveling northbound on Ind. 5 near CR 100S when his van collided with the Lists' motorcycle. Bontrager wasn't injured.
The Lists were stopped in the roadway, preparing to turn left, and were struck from behind.
