SYRACUSE - Three people were arrested overnight in connection with a drug investigation during which a methamphetamine laboratory was allegedly uncovered in a house at 4724 E. CR 1200N.

Arrested were Charles Losee, 32, of 207 E. Bowser Road, Syracuse, and Rickey A. Phillips, 41, and Robert D. Schwartz, 42, both of the CR 1200N address.

Officers from Syracuse Police Department and Indiana State Police went to the CR 1200N residence about 11:30 p.m. Thursday to execute a search warrant for the home and to serve arrest warrants on Losee and a female, who was not present at the time. The 28-year-old woman is expected to be charged with maintaining a common nuisance and information was forwarded to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office for review.

Losee is preliminarily charged with possession of methamphetamine and was served with a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of dealing methamphetamine. He is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on $40,000 bond.

Phillips is being held in the KCJ on $10,000 bond for charges of dealing methamphetamine, having an illegal drug lab and maintaining a common nuisance.

Schwartz is preliminarily charged with visiting a common nuisance. He was released from the KCJ this morning after posting $250 bond.

During the search of the home, police reportedly uncovered a meth lab, and a crew from the ISP Clandestine Lab Team was called in to dismantle it.

Police also located a large amount of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine, according to an information sheet provided by Syracuse Town Marshal Tom Perzanowski. The meth was determined to belong to Losee, the release noted.
