SYRACUSE - The Lakeside Park Community Center has been the primary focus of the Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department for the past several years. The capital campaign for the center is closer to its $2-million goal with the $20,000 gift from Harold & Donna Schrock. Their gift will sponsor the senior lounge in the center.
Harold said, "We have been following the progress of the center and it is nice to see so much of the building completed."
Construction of the building began in August. Michael Hixenbaugh, Syracuse parks superintendent, said, "It is great to see so many people working together to make this happen!
