SYRACUSE - ANNEXATION PETITION

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNEXATION PETITION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO THE PUBLIC that many of the residents of Oakwood Park Subdivision and the Receiver for the Oakwood Inn and Conference Center have filed an Annexation Petition as provided in I.C. 35-4-3-5 proposing to annex certain real estate to the Town of Syracuse, Indiana. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a public hearing has been scheduled on this Annexation Petition for the 14th day of June, 2011 commencing at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall located at 310 North Huntington Street, Syracuse, Indiana. Members of the public, as well as residents of the Town of Syracuse, are invited to appear at this public hearing and to be heard on the proposed Annexation Petition. The area proposed to be annexed is known as the Oakwood Park Subdivision and the Oakwood Inn and Conference Center. The total acreage proposed to be annexed is approximately forty one (41) acres. This real estate is located on the Southeast boundary of the current Syracuse Town limits and abuts Lake Wawasee. A map showing the current municipal boundaries, the proposed municipal boundaries, including the area to be annexed, as well as the current zoning classification of these areas, and a copy of the fiscal plan relating to the proposed annexation are available for review at the Town Hall, 310 North Huntington Street, Syracuse, Indiana.
