Staff Report-
The Symphony of the Lakes and conductor Tom Stirling will perform classic and present-day themes from movies, Broadway and other surprises at the Lights, Camera, Action pops concert. The show will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center. Lights, Camera, Action is designed for all audiences with music that is known and loved by all. According to a press release from the symphony, audiences will be excited to hear music from “Downton Abbey,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Harry Potter” and “Wicked.” It promises to be a great time for all audience members, young and old, the release states. Thanks to several local businesses and donors there will be a small silent auction at the concert for concert patrons. Stirling said, “We are excited to start the 2014-2015 season with a universal theme that audiences will connect with. We hope that by bringing the audience music they know and love will help re-engerize symphony audiences and get them excited about the Symphony of the Lakes. You will not want to miss these talented musicians performing such exciting music.” The pops concert is the opening concert to the 2014-2015 Symphony of the Lakes concert season. The symphony will be performing seven concerts this year. Season subscriptions for The Symphony of the Lakes concerts are available to purchase and will be available to purchase at the pops concert.
