Staff Report-
Symmetry Medical and Lake City Radio are teaming up for a fundraiser to make sure local children have clothes needed to stay warm.
The fundraiser will benefit Cardinal Services' Clothes for the Closet program.
The community is invited to attend the fundraiser and watch Symmetry employees take on Lake City Radio employees in a basketball game.
The fundraiser is Feb. 3 at Lakeview Middle School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the game begins at 7 p.m. There is a $2 entry fee, a 50/50 drawing and a half time free-throw shoot.
The raffle includes a grill, autographed "Hoosiers" movies and autographed basketballs.
Clothes for the Closet was established in 2009 by Symmetry Medical employees for the purpose of helping children in Cardinal programs who are without proper clothing.
"There are children in our community that go without winter coats, boots and even undergarments," said Michelle Boxell, Cardinal Services community relations manager.
The money from the basketball game will be donated to enhance the Clothes for the Closet fund to help children.
