Sylvan Learning Center of Warsaw recently held a writing contest that was open to all student in the surrounding areas, grades 1-12.
The topic was "Best Gift Ever," and the submitted essays were evaluated based on creativity, content and grammar.
More than 100 students from Tippecanoe Valley Middle School entered. Prizes given out ranged from gift cards to writing supplies.
Sylvan Learning Center of Warsaw will be holding another writing contest in the spring. It is open to all students, grades 1-12. The topic will be "Favorite Teacher." Submissions will be taken from Jan. 1 through March 17.
