Larry and Ruth Swihart will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Walnut Church of the Brethren, 5975 19th Road, Argos. Larry and the former Ruth Chapman were married at the Walnut Church of the Brethren Sept. 4, 1965. The couple have been lifelong residents of Tippecanoe and have two children, a son Keith Swihart, who passed away in 1988, and a daughter, Rhonda (and spouse Kerry) Dohner, Bourbon. They also have one granddaughter, Lyta Dohner. No gifts are necessary.
