A man was transported to the hospital early Saturday morning after he was struck in the head with a baseball bat during a dispute. According to Lt. Kip Shuter of the Warsaw Police Department, officers responded to a fight in progress in the parking lot of the Time Out Inn in Warsaw just after 3 a.m. Saturday. Shuter said the victim and another subject were sitting outside the bar when a vehicle pulled up to the two men and began an argument. Shuter said the victim and the second subject knew the individuals in the suspect vehicle and the dispute was allegedly an ongoing argument over a female. One suspect allegedly pulled out a baseball bat and struck the victim in the back of the head, then fled in the vehicle from the scene. The victim was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital to be treated for a laceration to the back of his head. Shuter said the victim and the second male subject identified the suspects and Warsaw Police are now in search of them and filing arrest warrants. No arrests had been made as of this morning.
