KENDALLVILLE - Susan Kay Lipscomb, 52, of Kendallville, died Feb. 11, 2010, in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born Oct. 25, 1957, in Warsaw, to Darrel and Ilah Kay Roberts Grindle. She married Carl F. Burkhart, who died Dec. 16, 2003. On Sept. 16, 2005, in Kendallville, she married Gary Lee Lipscomb, who survives.

She worked in the billing department at Dekalb Memorial Hospital, Auburn, and did volunteer work with Parkview Noble Hospice, Kendallville. She was a member of Grace Christian Church, Kendallville.

Also surviving are her mother and stepfather, Ilah and Darrell Mort, Columbia City; her father and stepmother, Darrel and Nadine Grindle, Warsaw; four daughters: Gay Anna (and spouse Nathan) Mosley, Kendallville; Nannette (and spouse Chris) Chambless, Churubusco; Elaine Allen, Fort Wayne; and Rabeca Mobley, Wolcotville; four sons: Nathan (and spouse Nessa) Burkhart and Mike (and spouse Sarah) Lipscomb, all of Kendallville; Cliffton (and spouse Lacey) Burkhart, Albion; and William (and spouse Kari) Lipscomb, Mongo; 20 grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis (and spouse Jill) Mort, Columbia City, and Tony Grindle, Cromwell; and four sisters: Beth (and spouse Mark) Didier, Fort Wayne; Tammy (and spouse Rod) Hunsburger, Warsaw; Crystal (and spouse Mark), Herendeen, Albion; and Hope Everly, Bryan, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Christian Church, Kendallville, with Pastor Nathan Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Sweet Cemetery, near Albion.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville, is in charge of arrangements.
