FORT WAYNE – Susan D. Babcock Rathbun, 74, passed away July 23, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born in Warsaw. She was the assistant manager at LS Ayers for 21 years, retiring in 1988, and later did childcare at home for 11 years, retiring in 2003. Surviving are her husband, Jerry L. Rathbun, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Jennifer (and spouse Jeffery) Judy, Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Katherine; and a brother, Richard Babcock, Galena, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Virginia Hay. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
