MILFORD – Susan Blackburn, 67, Warsaw, passed away Aug. 15, 2016, at home. She was born Jan 4, 1949, in Niles, Mich., to James and Wilma Ritchie Blackburn. She worked as a nursing assistant and activities director at Miller’s Merry Manor for 14 years and Lakeland Healthcare for six years. She was also a great waitress and enjoyed serving the locals at Cocinero’s, The Channel Marker, and Wawasee Café. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she cherished her time with them. She will be missed by her daughter, Kelley (and spouse Joel) Katzer, Warsaw; six grandchildren: Patrick, Casey, Katelynn, Cayden, Adalyn, and Daniel; a sister-in-law, Ruth Blackburn; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sandra Walter; and two brothers, Ronald Joe and James “Jimmy” Blackburn. A graveside service will be at noon Friday at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles, Mich.
