BOURBON – Susan A. Craig, 65, Bourbon, passed away unexpectedly at 7:14 a.m. April 2, 2014, at her residence.
She was born March 20, 1949, in Rochester, to John and Helen Yates Benedict. On Oct. 23, 1970, she married DeVon Craig, who died Oct. 30, 2013.
She was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area and a graduate of Bourbon High School. She had been a pharmacy technician for more than 20 years at various pharmacies in the area, a member of Bourbon First United Methodist Church, and she was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Post #424 Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughter, Shawn (and spouse David) Gargis, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Brittny and Zac Moriarty, Warsaw; three great-grandchildren: Adalyn, Brogan and Briley Gargis, all of Warsaw; two brothers, Danny (and spouse Carolyn) Benedict and Benny Benedict, both of Bourbon; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no services or calling at this time in honoring her wishes.
The family has chosen to have a Celebration of Life at a later date, to be announced.
Deaton Clemens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
