Surprised

Editor, Times-Union:

I am surprised at the number of people who are praising Barack Obama as a great man and sometimes even as Savior "The Messiah", when he has little to no state or federal Senate level record to review or admire.

These same people seem to care little or nothing about his friends and associates or their criminal minds and deeds.

I was scanning some very interesting figures put forth online this morning by USAToday on its Web site. Indiana has 92 counties. John McCain won 77 of these to Obama's 15. Indiana's popular vote went to Obama 1,367,264 to Mac's 1,341,101, a statewide difference of 26,163. I want to make reference to two of the 15 that Obama carried. Lake County (Gary and East Chicago) 138,603 to Mac's 67,417, and Marion County (Indianapolis) 237,275 to Mac's 131,459.

The citizens of these two county's alone voted pro-Obama by an offset margin of 177,002. Since the ethnic majority make-up of these cities is African-American, and considering the fact that the mainstream media very often made a point of saying that 90% of all African Americans were voting for Barack Obama, was I feel a huge contributing factor to the final outcome, that in no way represents who informed voting Hoosiers wanted and needed as our next president.

Also, when looking at the national map on the same Web site, with final national and county voting colors applied, (Obama-Blue and McCain-Red) it is very clear to see that a vast majority of our nation is colored Red. President-elect Obama carried almost every single county of almost every state where stands a large city. We can thank mostly ACORN and other tax-dollar funded unbiased groups for this nations final voting numbers.

Post Script: I'll answer before being asked or labeled. "No, I'm not a racist! I'm a honest independent voting American citizen with many unanswered questions and concerns, who can see, read, count and rationalize!" I can even listen and think with a open (unbiased) mind.
